The Cerebrospinal Fluid (CSF) Analysis at Pamel Laboratories is a comprehensive diagnostic test that examines the fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord. This test is essential for diagnosing infections, inflammatory conditions, and neurological disorders, such as meningitis, encephalitis, multiple sclerosis, and subarachnoid hemorrhage.

CSF analysis provides critical information about the physical, chemical, and microscopic properties of the fluid and may include culture and sensitivity testing to identify the causative organisms in cases of infection.

What the Test May Include:

1. Physical Examination:

   • Color and clarity of the CSF (normal is clear and colorless)
