Semen Analysis with Culture (Semen M/C/S)

The Semen Analysis with Culture test at Pamel Laboratories provides a comprehensive evaluation of both male fertility and underlying infections that may affect reproductive health. This combined test assesses sperm quality—including count, motility, and morphology—and performs microscopy, culture, and sensitivity (MC&S) to detect the presence of bacterial, fungal, or other microbial infections in the semen.

It is particularly useful for men experiencing infertility, painful ejaculation, pelvic discomfort, or a history of genital tract infections.

What the Test Includes:

1. Semen Analysis:

   • Volume and pH

   • Sperm count and concentration

   • Sperm motility (movement)

   • Sperm morphology (structure)

   • Liquefaction time and viscosity

2. Microscopy, Culture & Sensitivity (M/C/S):

   • Detection of pus cells, white blood cells, and bacteria
